On Tuesday, July 6, Gov. Linda Lingle vetoed HB 444, Hawaii's civil unions bill.

This unconscionable act by the Governor kills the bill for this session, denying basic equal rights and responsibilities to thousands of non-married couples in the state.

We need you to act today and let Gov. Lingle know that you are outraged, frustrated and disappointed. Tell her that you are appalled that she has denied equal treatment under the law to thousands of families in our state.
